Hey guys, it has been a while since I've posted here. Anyway, I was somewhat surprised that this band, Protean Collective, was not yet listed here. They are an incredibly talented progressive metal band that I feel would make an excellent addition to the database. Biography (from the band's site) With roots in Boston, Protean Collective melds progressive rock and metal. Their sound with pulse pounding rhythms and screaming leads give listeners an assault of a visceral and cerebral energy every time out. With universal themes and often times unsettling imagery, they've captivated audiences up and down East Coast US. Shared the stage with Scale the Summit, Into Eternity, The Reign of Kindo, The Protomen, East of the Wall, Jolly, The Memorials, and Three Audio Samples: Streaming latest album for a limited time: https://soundcloud.com/proteancollective/the-red-and-the-grey-full (Personal recommendations: Tracks 1, 7, and 10) Caldera - single from latest album : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ac_C_vc8UI Also available on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, etc. Personel: Graham Bacher - Vocals/Guitar Steph Goyer - Guitar/Vocals Dan Ehramjian - Bass/Vocals Matt Zappa - Drums Influences (From the band's site) Porcupine Tree, Soundgarden, Meshuggah, Pain of Salvation, Rush, Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon, Cynic, Dear Hunter, Three, King Crimson, Protest the Hero and Opeth (Personally, I would add Riverside) Discography: The Red and The Grey (LP Jan 14, 2014) 1.Emerge 2.In Waves 3.Exposed 4.I Waited 5.Only One 6.Caldera 7.Room 16: Our Ghosts 8.Reckless and Fearless 9.Quiet in Wartime 10.Until We're Bones 11.The Red and the Grey Exposed (EP 2012) 1.
