Why would her coming out change anything regarding her talent as an actor, subject of this poll (or anything really)?
Are you saying she is not changing anything with her speech? That with her speech she is not changing Jared's opinion of her?

Her orientation should have no bearing on how she is viewed. Now, maybe the speech itself was remarkable, I haven't heard it, and maybe that's what he was saying. It's awesome that she had the courage to come out, but regarding her talent as an actress, which is the subject of the poll, that changes nothing.

^ How do you know that the poll focuses on the actresses' acting skills? All it's really asking is picking one's favorite actress. Maybe what the question implies is "which one of these two girls (who have something in common - they both are actresses) do you like better based on any criteria?"

This is a bit of a general question if you ask me. It needs to be more specific.

I agree with you completely, T, and maybe I read a little more into the initial question than was perhaps intended. However, the poll wasn't about Michael Gambon v Derek Jacobi, with whom one could safely assume that the vote would merely be about their acting talent rather than their image. This is concerning EP or JL, where there tends to be a significantly greater sexual dimension at work.

I think this is quite correct. The initial poll didn't underline purely acting abilities; I read it as the 'whole package' which inevitably incorporates a sexual element. The internet is littered with references to EP being a 'girl next door' sexual fantasy (presumably by 20 something males); a fact which might distort any such generalised poll.

Anyway, I apologise if my point was a little vague, but I do respect her more now, for the grace which she has evidently shown.

Actually it did.  I don't know if it was a case of bad English or aginor simply followed the latest convention but he asked, "Which of these ACTORS are your favourite?".  So you seem to have inferred the sexual element in the poll of your own, which is usually the case when the poll question or any other topic concerns female ______.   I mean it was bound to happen sooner or later in some or the other form that somebody would bring in this angle.

Speaking as a guy, of course, I don't particularly care which one is the better actor. LOL

To be honest I have seen more of them doing interviews about movies they have been in than actually seeing them in movies. They both come across as intelligent people.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Actually it did.
And I am dumb and blind. It's right in the OP. Looks like my forum-related habits have not improved much.

Well.....I must be getting old since I don't see anything special about either actress.

Are we allowed to use 'incroyable' in relation to a woman/girl?

If you translate directly and ignore any historical context, yes.

I quite disliked this movie. Too unrealistic and with very bold seams in the screenplay.

I agree, nice eye candy but for me JL over acts and I have only seen EP in that over convoluted movie with Leonardo Di Caprio, cannot remember it's nameSmile
