Topic: Genesis lyrics poll Pt.6 Wind & Wuthering Posted: March 14 2014 at 18:27 |
The last poll, in fact will be one more, something like a poll of polls. The last winners were Mad man moon and Entangled.
Here the lyrics writters
Eleventh Earl of Mar (Rutherford)
One for the vine (Banks)
Your own special way (Rutherford)
All in a mouses night (Banks)
Blood on the rooftops (Hackett, maybe with Collins)
Afterglow (Banks)

All in a Mouses Night followed by Blood on the Rooftops followed by One for the Vine. I like the fact that many of the songs on this album tell stories.

^ I know that sounds cynical of me but I'm just thinking of something like say, Benny the Bouncer which has (IMO ) a brilliant and witty lyric but most ELP fans loathe the song

One for the Vine, with Blood on the rooftops and Afterglow in close joint second place.. The less said about All in a mouses night the better...
