What happened to Aginor ??? You can't just skitz-out and leave no explanation ???.....
Anyway, more folks need to give Elton albums a spin. Many are full of surprises. He certainly crossed over into Prog territory many times, but regardless of genre/ direction, he has some enjoyable material out there.

Just spun Captain Fantastic......, and really singled out the song 'Writing'. What a pretty little ditty that one is.....
......and the amusing comics books that came with the LP, always a good read.
So, what of Aginor ????   Surely Icarium couldn't have killed off dear Agi .........??

Are you asking what people think of Elton John?

He's ok sometimes, and dreadful sometimes.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

I Just have a selection of his 70's albums which I think are a decent listen, a pleasant break from Hammill, VDGG, Magma, Henry Cow (just to name some 'heavyweights'). Actually, a lot of his stuff doesn't do much for me (possibly too 'pedestrian') but when he's good, he can be interesting.

He's an awful singer, but has made some good tunes..

Rocket man
Goodbye yellow brick road
I guess that's why they call it the blues

That's about it..

^ I'm looking out for nice copies of Madman and his debut when I go to record fairs.
Did give 17-11-70 a spin the other day and reckon that more Progheads should give it a go. By far my favourite performance from him. Still accessible and rocking, more 'entertainment' than a serious listen, but a smoking gig with just Elton, Dee and Nigel, really raw and gutsy sounding.......piano, bass and drums.........
