Again I need to play these first with On The Corner being something I just got recently and the other two I gave 5 stars to so...

I only know OF this particular Nuova Era album (and I seem to recall perhaps Sagi mentioning I should look into it?), but I recently caught up on the 5 disc Mahavishnu Orchestra box set, and `Inner Mounting Place' has blown me away! In fact, by complete coincidence, John, I loaded it into my car ready to go as soon as I leave work tonight!

I'm going with the Mahavishnu also.  I don't listen to it often, but it usually hits the spot when I do.  I've listened to On the Corner much more often (it's a more recent discovery), but MO is more special to me.

I prefer Birds to IMF, but that's where my vote goes finally.

Nope! sorry it wasn't me, I always had a hard time getting into this one, it was one of the first modern RPI albums I got but no luck yet.
I like that Mahavishnu debut but don't know the rest too well, but I think they'll do just fine without my vote.

Are you saying that Davis' record here is more powerful than TIMF?

Also, gobstoppers please.

LOL
I'm not sure what I'm saying. Business as usual then...
I was looking for a picture with a man wearing a hat + Miles Davis - and that is what I found.

Gobstoppers indeed.

Timing is everything MichaelClap. I probably rate Birds Of Fire and The Lost Trident Sessions a little higher than The Inner Mounting Flame but for me they are all 5 star records. I'm a fanboy I suppose.
By the way that Nuova Era album is a killer. The organ is downright nasty at times as it growls away at times. It's the one I enjoy the most of these three.

I am looking forward to spending some time with On The Corner but I too feel MO is a special band. Just the fact that they are all from different countries yet together they are like this well oiled machine that was unstoppable back in the day.

And apparently most other people's vote as well, although On The Corner has been getting it's share of attention.

I never really got into Mahavishnu, but On The Corner slays.

On the Corner for me, though I don't have the Nouvo Era album.
Just a fanboy passin' through.
