No famous bands this time but there's a real ace in the deck!
My vote goes easily to Anamorphose, a superb fusion album with a breath taking interplay and musicianship, very recommended a 5 star recording for me. I included Altais although they have only released one EP, very good zehul which is always nice to meet.
I'm surprised Ose isn't much more well known since it features Richard Pinhas, it's a typical Pinhas electronic album with his distinct guitar playing, very good stuff.

Ose is my fav, but Red Noise is a close second. Very good stuff, my friend.

Anamorphose over Ose, I don't own either though.

Yep! This order works for me too. I thought you might like that album, the playing is simply phenomenal.

It was you who recommended it to me some time ago and I did order it but he was out of stock. It's still on my list though.

Ose's Adonia for me -- had that album for quite a few years and still return to it pretty regularly.

Only know Ose and Red Noise, and out of those I'm tempted to go for the latter. They got even better after the political split and two of the founding members went on to make Komintern's masterpiece 'Le Bal du Rat Mort'
You can almost hear that sound relegated on the Red Noise album only in a strange embryonic dressing. Ose is still quite new to me, but I gather it will grow on me with subsequent listens. For the time being, when I want to listen to Richard Pinhas I go for Stand By, Agneta Nilsson, the collab he did with Merzbow or the early ambient album by Pascal Comelade named Fluence, where he sounds strangely like Jerry Garcia. |
