Not exactly sure where to put this thread, anyway...

I'll start off with these three albums:

Robert Wyatt - Rock Bottom
Gong - Shamal
Steve Hillage - Green

What is the link between the three? And no, that they are 'Canterbury' isn't it.Wink

Is this a game?

Unfortunately, Shamal is the only one I've heard.

I don't know why, but sometimes my system wants to put all sorts of code type gobbledy-gook into my posts.  Something shifted with my security and I have no idea what it is, especially since I am not very computer savvy.  Hopefully it's not a digital spyware cookie.  Wink  I will have to come up with my own trio of albums.

What do they have in common? I don't particularly care for any of them.

Produced by Nick Mason, but already mentioned above.

GREEN is an excellent album and beautifully recorded. SHAMAL is better than we give it credit for, because we tend to like Daevid's antics a little more than not. ROCKY B is an interesting album, but a musical tradition that not many folks here can appreciate from what I see, because it is not always about "melody" or any "design" that conforms to some ideas as to what we think progressive or crap is.
