PENDULUM Band berdiri tanggal 5 November 1998. Awalnya, Iman(Bass) mengajak Turi untuk membentuk sebuah band Progressive dengan membawakan lagu-lagu ciptaan sendiri, dengan bereksploitasi memainkan ketukan-ketukan yang hitungannya ganjil dan ber-progress. Kemudian Michael bergabung dengan pendulum. Dengan formasi ini dan di bantu oleh Tanggamus Studio sebagai pihak managemen, Pendulum aktif bermain di berbagai even antara lain: Bintang Tamu festival Rock IKIP rawamangun dan beberapa Kampus terutama kampus IKJ, (kebetulan seluruh personil kuliah di IKJ).

Pada awal tahun 1999, Iman(bass) mengundurkan diri digantikan oleh Adit, bersama formasi ini PENDULUM bermain di banyak even antara lain: Kampus UI, Demo klinik di sekolah music Yamaha Kebon Jeruk , Classic rock nite oleh M97 Fm, dan lain-lain.

Untuk memaksimalkan permormance, PENDULUM mempertimbangkan untuk menambah personil di seksi gitar. Pertengahan 2001 Rifki (gitar) bergabung dengan pendulum. Dengan formasi baru ini PENDULUM telah tampil di Kampus IKJ, SKYBAR, dan sebagai headliner di acara Progresif Rock Festival tgl 7 September 2001 yang diselenggarakan oleh IPS (Indonesian Progressive Society).

Sampai saat ini, Pendulum berhasil menciptakan kurang lebih 15 lagu dan 1 buah demo CD yang berisi 6 Lagu. Pendulum berusaha untuk terus berkarya dan memperkaya khasanah musik progressive di Indonesia.

PROFIL PERSONIL PENDULUM BAND

Turi, belajar di Fakultas Seni Rupa IKJ. Ia pernah aktif di Band antara lain kontemporer pd94, SR Barat, Recycle Band, All Star Band. Mengaku mendapatkan pengaruh dari Dixie Dregs, Shawn Lane, Rush, Mr Big, Van Hallen , Journey, Steve Morse Band, Racer X, Dream Theatre, Enya, Karl Jenkins, Liquid tension Experiment, Yanni, Suzanne Ciani, Earl Klugh. Turi menggunakan peralatan Ibanez JS Model Guitar, Dean Guitar, Boss effect pedals, Zoom Multi effect processors, Cry Baby 535, Peavey Classic 50 Amp.

Michael, juga belajar di IKJ tepatnya di Fakultas Seni pertunjukan (Perkusi), selain juga belajar di Yamaha Music Indonesia dan sempat berguru kepaa Baroto, Yusuf Abdi, Inang Nursaid. Ia sempat menjadi Endorser untuk produk Tama dan Sabian. Aktif di Blukar Band, Catfunk dan Sangkhan Blues Band. Penggebuk drum ini mengaku mendapatkan pengaruh dari Rush, Led Zeppelin, Terry Bozio., Casiopea.

Rifki, pernah belajar di Ishibashi Music School Tokyo Japan tahun 1989-1991. Sempat pula menjadi Gitaris terbaik Festival Band BKMI Universitas Borobudur 1994, dengan Band "Red Saga" sebagai finalis Teens Music Festival Tokyo Japan. Sebagai gitaris ia pernah aktif dibeberapa kelompok yaitu Cynomadeus(Cyno), Hari Mukti Band, Circle(Doddy Elpamas Keswara Band), Spanish Fly, Unit Seni Budaya Trisakti Band, Kindy Band, Dream For sale dan Red Saga. George Lynch, Eet Syahranie, Saga, Night Ranger, Rush, Yes, Dan Reed Network, Saracenno, Paul Gilbert, Van Hallen, Lynch Mob, Dokken, Whitesnake, Exreme, Def Leppard, Shawn Lane, Makara, Donny Suhendra, Dream Theatre, Joe Satriani merupakan nama-nama yang menurutnya cukup mempengaruhi gaya permainannya.

Adit, belajar musik di Ishibashi Music School Tokyo Japan dan Chics Music dengan intruktur Indro, Bintang, Adi serta Kursus Bass di Indonesia Music Institut. Sebelum di Pendulum Adit sempat aktif di Slippery Intersection. Ia terpengaruh gaya bermain Jaco Pastorius, Level 42, Dave Larue(Steve Morse band) Dream Theatre dan Magelan."
