Interesting. I'll have to revisit the 1000 near mint vinyls I have. Maybe I'm a $1000aire ! Anybody know of a good online resource for pricing rare vinyls?

Yeah, "in the court of the Crimson King" is so rare hardly anyone has ever heard of it.

Thanks for the article. A lot of useful information can be found also in this book: THE TAPESTRY OF DELIGHTS ... and other Borderline Productions books.

'Tapestry' by Joynson is a decent guide for all older psych, rock, and prog things . I also recommend 'The Progressive Rock Files' by Lucky which focuses on only prog.
BTW......I have 5 of those on vlnyl and several also on cd.
Never heard of Ptolomy Psycon though....
PS: Anyone else have any good prog and esoteric music guides other than PA of course?

Not sure of the point of this thread but I would like to see more prog reissued on vinyl, if that's the point you'er making. As for collecting rare vinyl itself, it's not my deal. I like good sound, not artifacts.

Oh wow, great article! I even discovered a new band thanks to you.
There is also Earthrise, their first and only album can get up to 1000$ I think. |

He is talking about an original pink label Island pressing, not an Atlantic US pressing, which yes are a dime a dozen in a record store..To the collector there is a big difference. |

Start with Discogs so you can search by the barcode and deadwax information....From there you can see if your copy is for sale and for how much. There are many other sites if you just do a Google search. Search for most valuable record albums and a few lists show up. |
