For Absent Friends.
When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Two great songs, but there's no doubt that I like For Absent Friends better

To be honest I don't care for either song and always liked Gabriel's dramatic and theatrical vocals better but Collins certainly made a boat load of money for him and the boys.

Voted "For Absent Friends." My favorite Phil Collins vocals are on Anthony Phillips "Geese & Ghost". Truly excellent.
But because of what he, and Genesis became, when he was so talented in earlier Genesis and Brand X, I can't stand the man's voice any more (since "And Then There Were 3 ..."), much the same as Rod Stewart's "Do You Think I'm Sexy" ruined for me everything he'd ever recorded before, even if I once loved it.

More Fool Me always seemed something comparable to a Kumbaya of the prog world, best forgotten than actually admired. For Absent Friends comes off as classic English prog and much more the tune Phillip Collins could sink his teeth into.

Both of them majorly suck.  Fortunately Phil learned how to sing not much later.

How about something from Ark 2 ??

For me, More Fool Me by a smidge.....

I suppose it should have been early Genesis vocals, maybe should have included Star of Sirius. Still need to listen to Ark 2, which tracks has Phil on vocals?

If memory serves, he sings lead on parts of The Planets, co-lead on Changes, and lead on Space Child. Also should have included Silver Song (which probably would have received my vote had it been included). In this case however, I'm going to go with More Fool Me, although For Absent Friends is also very good.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?
