Jethro Tull of course. That Soft Machine cacophony is unbearable.

Put a gun to my head, and just before the trigger is pulled, I would probably say "Third", but I would not enjoy it.

I love em equally, in other words. Voted Third.

Third, even though it's a very difficult listen. Passion Play is a bit dull too, after an album like TAAB

I've only heard A Passion Play once so far, and it didn't leave a great impression on me. Seems like one of those ones that requires a few listens before a verdict can be reached, so no vote.

Third's like that for me. Seems like I'll like it way off in the future, but while three of four tracks are well and good, I simply can't finish "Moon in June" without regret.

I'm one of those who prefers the live section on the second disc of the remastered version on Third to any of the other material on the album. Same goes for Frank Zappa. Prefer anything live by Zappa to anything recorded in the studio. Since Passion Play is one of my favourite Tull albums, easy choice for me.

i had head A Passion Play only once on Spotify, but it definitely needs more listens later on, so i go to that one for now.

If I'm assuming correctly and this implies that you haven't yet heard Third, well, at least personally, I could not choose a favourite if I didn't know both (or at least material from both).

Not implying that this should be the case for you, of course, but I didn't like "Moon in June" much at first, but it came to be my favourite track off the album.  At first my favourite track was Slightly All the Time, then Out-Bloody-Rageous, then Moon in June. The one track that somehow never totally clicked with me is Facelift, but that doesn't stop it from being one of my very favourite albums.

Anyway, I like A Passion Play, but love Third, so this poll is a no-brainer for me.
Just a fanboy passin' through.
