In Absentia is a very good album and the only PT album I really like, but De-Loused is a modern classic.
Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005

Easy call - In Absentia. IMHO the PT breakout album. The only TMV that I have really connected with is Octahedron...

TMV isn't my favorite, but they're preferable to PT.

De-loused. I still think it's their best work, too.

Porcupine Tree In Absentia.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Probably my second favourite album by either band. Went for In Absentia by a hair.

De-loused, my favorite from the Mars Volta beats my third favorite from PT, I know it's an acquired taste, but when it clicks, it just doesn't stop clicking, hell of an album.

In Absentia is a great album. ..
De-Loused is an absolute gem of modern progressive music. A landmark album. Takes a lot to swallow... and helluva lot more to assimilate to the point when you really start enjoying it. But when you do.. You will never forget the experience.
