The 2 recent 5-star reviews of this "long lost gem" got me curious

so I searched for possibilities to order the album. It was released by Musea and indeed I found it in their catalog

I found also a few for sale in Discogs

but my surprise came when I searched in Amazon. I found an album with exactly the same description as in the Musea page, released by Musea in 1980... but the cover is different (a clear Neo logo and the titles of the songs can be seen at the bottom albeit a bit blurred. However the listed tracks are completely different, 10 tracks instead of 8 and with different names.

I guess that the cover art shown is perhaps the back cover instead of the front one, and that the tracklist is just a mistake, but that it is actually the same album?

BTW, this was added as Crossover but the two reviews seem to describe a Fusion album?

Neo are somewhere between Prog and Fusion, very nice Album but I think
5 stars are somewhat to much.

The Album on Amazon is the same, it is the backside (you can see clealey
by the titles mentioned on it)

Those CDs sold at the Moment are more likley issues by the Russian lable
MALS (digipacks), who where licenced by Musea. (although there sems to be some trouble with that. like not all titels really being legit (from the Mals side not Musea).

I noticed Greg at Synphonic has it for 16 dollars. I have it but to be honest I spun it once and forgot how it sounds. I will review it eventually and noticed Greg compares them to Carpe Diem on his site and describes the music as instrumental Symphonic I believe.

Prog is like beauty, each person has its own concept of what it should be. Having listened to this disc many many times, I truly find its appeal pentagonal. Wink
Also , the reason for crossover lies with the guitar in particular, its not really 'fusion" in the purest sense.

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.
