Neal Morse has been involved in creating a fair few epics in his time. The amount of 25-minute-plus songs in his catalogue is remarkable! Which is your favourite. I've limited it to the ones over 25 minutes because he is a particular specialist here. I know there are some between 20-25, but over 25 minutes takes the term "epic" to another level.

I think I've voted for The Door in an almost identical poll less than one month ago

Great Nothing!

Though if The Creation or The Light were options, I might have gone those ways...
Thank you, God of Rock, for this chance to kick ass

I went with 'Duel With the Devil' here, but would have liked to have seen '?' as an option.  I know there's no 25 minute song but the whole CD is pretty much one giant epic.

I remain pretty much indifferent to Neal Morse, but I'm planning on revisiting the Spock's Beard (when Neal was with them) and the Transatlantic catalogs at some point. One of my favorite Morse songs is We All Need Some Light from the first Transatlantic album. I thought he did really well on that one and the song itself is quite beautiful.

Great list of epics!

Voted for Duel with the Devil but, like another poster, would have voted for The Light if listed.

voted for The Door but many of these are great. I agree with the comment about ?, it's a bit like The Whirlwind, you can consider it as separate songs or as a super-epic.

Actually I remember doing a poll exactly the same as this one...

Anyway I vote for Seeds of Gold just as the last time.

Duel with the Devil.
When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

From these I'll go with World Without End, from his last solo album.  Brilliant epic.

Difficult one. I first got into Neal's music when someone introduce me to All Of The Above, and I still think that is one of my favourite epics ever. However I've voted for The Door here because it has so much variety and the closing few minutes (especially Paul Gilbert's solo) are truly amazing. Honourable mention to Seeds Of Gold too, particularly as it's really a bonus track to the main CD.

I voted for Seeds of Gold. I think that's his peak as far as epics go. When I listen to his other epics there is always a part that's too pretty, or that has that "Neal Morse ballad" feel which I don't like (especially on Sola Scriptura). On the contrary, Seeds of Gold has no weak melodies and it's engaging from start to end. But that's just my opinion.
"The Conflict" comes close with that heavy metal intro that I'd have never expected from Morse. And Paul Gilbert shredding of course.
