Haven't listened to the King's musical oeuvre in a long long time, especially not the stuff he did after leaving MF. I find it very striking how classy and "technicolour" he is in his use of Satanic themes, like Hammer horror viz 1930s German Expressionism if compared to 1990s black metal if that metaphor makes sense.

The comeback album of a pretty damn obscure NWoBHM group, who are kind of the same niche as Angel Witch in that their lyrics mostly revolve around Satanic or at least occult subject matter but their music doesn't have much of a continuity with modern black metal. Back in the early 1980s they didn't even make it past a couple demo tapes, now they're probably at their peak at the popularity ever...
