I am looking for songs that do not seem to belong to a particular generation or age.
Something that might pass by in some way shape or form in 1500 or 1800 or 2400.

Magma's "The Night We Died" seems most like this for me right now.

In other words, you're looking for music that has a timeless quality?

Its kind of difficult toagree on something universally timeless. Lots of people on PA claims that In the Court... sounds dated but it certainly doesn't  to me.

But: Something that might pass by in some way shape or form in 1500 or 1800 or 2400 - is a whole other ballgame. Maybe

Shostacovich - string quartet no. 8 & 15.
Franz Schubert - string Quartet no 15 - Death and the Maiden

Jean Michel Jarre - Equinoxe 4

When I first heard this, I was in a plug.dj channel for 70s music. I couldn't believe this was released in 1978. This is probably more of my ignorance to electronic music in the 70s at the time.

Renaissance - 70s era

This band was probably the most out of place but yet one of the most proggiest out there.

Oops sorry. here I actually missed the prog-word.

How about:
Univers Zero - Carabosse
Art Zoyd - Divertissement
Gentle Giant - The Moon is Down
Pierrot Lunaire - Morella

King Crimson's Red. All of it.
He looks at this world and wants it all... so he strikes, like Thunderball!

Magma's Live sounds phenomenal for a live recording from 1975. It sounds better than most live recordings from today, I would argue.

GY!BE - F#A#Infinity comes to mind. Sounds like it should be released fifty years from now.

Just some tunes from artists listed on PA. All with a certain timeless quality to them, even if they sound completely different from one another:

Peaches en Regalia
In C
Tubular Bells
Wish You Were Here
Krautrock
