Not a big Hogarth era - Marillion fan, but in this poll I voted for them nevertheless.

Would've voted for Motorpsycho's "Timothy's Monster" had it been on the list, but since it's not I'll go with

When he rides, my fears subside. For darkness turns once more to light. Through the skies, his white horse flies. To find a land beyond the night.

My favorite prog album of 1994 is Vangelis' Blade Runner. (The film came out around '81, but he didn't release the soundtrack till '94.) Other favorite albums not on the list: the Page and Plant MTV reunion album (Unledded), - which is probably prog related(?) - and Aphex Twins's Selected Ambient Works, Vol. 2, which isn't on PA, but is his most electronic prog/ambient/Eno-ish album...
Anyway, I went for Marillion's Brave.

I really don't get h-Marillion. Collage's "Moonshine" has one of the worst production jobs I've ever heard.
I'll go with The Flower King, one of the most solid albums from Stolt and co. Other than that, Par Lindh Project and Anglagard are pretty good. Sweden kind of took over in the 90's.

A very good call indeed . There are many other fine albums on the list but my favourite is The Flower King. It's a bit twee in places but there are so many great moments, a real indication of what was to come.

I thought of that one in this top 3 sh*ttiest years of music as well. Either strong dislike or lukewarm to every album I've heard in the poll so here's a few actual favorites instead. One of them on PA or two including Blade Runner.
Tortoise - Tortoise Attacca Percussion Ensemble - Giacinto Scelsi - Music for Wind Instruments and Percussion Uakti - I Ching Combustible Edison - I, Swinger Burzum - Hvis lyset tar oss & London Symphony Orchestra orchestra Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra orchestra Wanda Wiłkomirska violin Krakow Philharmonic Chorus - Krzysztof Penderecki - Matrix 5
