"The Blue Ship is a fluctuating and amorphous musical organism, born out of the blood and toil of wrecked dreams and the hope which some might call ‘unkillable’. Its members shift and change, recede and expand, like the shimmering palpitations of some impossible dream-animal. Like a worm, it will regenerate severed portions of its body. Unlike the hydra, it only ever replaces what is lost."

LOL! - Their facebook looks somewhat disused to me...but here is what they say there:

"Too atonal for pop, too catchy for the avant-guarde, too vulgar for the classical elite, too highbrow for punks, too intelligent for idiots, too idiotic for intellectuals, the Blue Ship defies classification, belief and YOU! "

The biography on there is a touch on the abstract side too...

Anyhow, this got missed first time around, and the album is on AltRock, which is a highly respected label indeed - so...bump!! Tongue

Lol! It got missed the second time round too. LOL Third time lucky eh? Tongue ...But at least there has now been a post on their facebook page (just the one, mind you) which says: "Dear Friends, It has been some long time since the Ship has spoke, time has passed, on the surface nothing, but things are happening, rumbling in the bowels of life, nothing fails to leave its mark, stay awake".

And so we shall...Especially if we've got rumbling in the bowels...I'd hate to have to change the sheets when I woke up in the morning. Embarrassed

Checking. At a first glance it doesn't sound Avant to me. Xover maybe?
