I hate to start a whole new thread this but it's really been bugging me.

Ok so I was just messing around on my keyboard when I hit the chords G#, Am, F in that order, and it sounds like some famous prog rock song, but I can't figure what song it is.

Please if theres any musicians out there play those chords and tell me what song it's from.

The first person that finds out will get a thanks.

Could be the psychedelic build-up after the avant-section of Atom Heart Mother

I don't recognize it myself. Closest that comes to mind is an incorrect version of Another Brick in the Wall part 2 (proper would be G, A, Asharp it seems, the F probably throws that theory off though)

No clue about that one, but G, Am, F reminds me of Lady Fantasy.

One More Red Nightmare is my guess (although it's basically the same as SOTW)
There is no dark side in the moon, really... Matter of fact, it's all dark...

There are literally 10,000 songs with a C G Am F progression.

G#, Am, F, C. Not G major

Have you ever heard The Raven That Refused To Sing. The proggression isn't used as much as you think.
