Hi people,

I'm running a project called www.leftbanklive.com and tonight we're going to be interviewing Hugh Cornwell of stranglers fame live from an Edinburgh (Scotland, UK)  club.

The show starts at 9.45pm (GMT) but he'll probably be on a bit later than that.

Thought you guys might be interested. If you've got any questions please email be in next few hours and I'll try my best to include them in show,

Enjoy,

Ali

Hugh Cornwell, to some might be considered an antithesis of prog, having lead one of the most successful punk bands of the 70's the Stranglers. However, ask him (if it is not too late), what was his first reaction when clapped up in HM Prison, when he heard the Stranglers had done a concert with Robert Fripp, Peter Hammill and Steve Hillage guesting, and in his name? While showing he could stand alone as a musician, the Nosferatu album with (former Beefheart drummer?) Mr Williams, suggests an interest in late 60's rock, e.g. with a good  but somewhat deconstructed version of Cream's White Room - so was/is there a love hate thing with "dinosaur rock"?
