I voted for Keith Godchaux. Listening to the Dead right now and he really fit into their sound very well. Too bad Donna Jean got tagged along with him, though. Wink

I'll say...she was the bad half of a lousy package deal for the Dead.  I was just listening to the 1972 Sunshine Creamery show and when Donna starts that gospel screeching it's like fingernails on a chalkboard.  Considering the fact that Garcia was so impressed with Lesh's perfect pitch abilities, I can only imagine what went through his head every time she stepped up to the mic LOL
