Topic: Hi! Posted: July 14 2016 at 15:00 |
So, I've actually been a member since 2012, however I am just now starting to be active. I'm 34 and was brought up on Genesis, Jethro Tull and Pink Floyd by my father. I play guitar. I used to play in a couple metal bands, an electronic project and I am currently working on putting together a prog project. My favorite prog genre would probably be classic symphonic prog.
Here is a list of my favorite bands (although I listen to many more): - Anthony Phillips solo
- Astra
- Beggars Opera
- Black Widow
- Camel
- Caravan
- Comus
- Dungen
- Eloy
- ELP
- EYE (Columbus, Ohio)
- The Future Kings of England
- Genesis
- Gentle Giant
- Hawkwind
- Ian Anderson
- Jethro Tull
- King Crimson
- The Mars Volta
- Mastodon
- Mike Oldfield
- The Moody Blues
- Nektar
- Opeth
- Pink Floyd
- Queensryche
- Renaissance
- Rush
- Steve Hackett solo
- Tool
- Uriah Heep
- Van Der Graaf Generator
- Wobbler
- Yes

cool list.. even if a bit Catholic (ie.. fricking ENGLISH and Symphonic ) for my tastes. Noted you have Eye on there. Looking forward to seeing them, hell hearing them for the first time when they play Progday. What do you know, and recommend from them.

I pretty much like everything that EYE has done. A good start is their "Center of the Sun" LP.
