Hello world.

For your consideration…

New artist => faunch

New CD => venice & beethoven

Sub-genre => Crossover Prog

venice & beethoven cover

Blurb from our website:

What would happen if you took all the colors in XTC, 10cc, Kevin Gilbert, Human League, Prince, Richard Thompson, Devin Townsend Project, Porcupine Tree, Robert Palmer, King's X, Peter Gabriel and The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (!), and mixed them all together?

Would it inevitably become a steaming pile of funky fudge, or an inventive and curious kaleidoscope of contrasting musical hues? We think the latter, but you be the judge: pull down a copy of the new faunch release, venice & beethoven, and give both sides of the platter a good listen...

Cogent links:

Website: http://faunchmusic.com (digital download of the record available here)

Record release announcement on Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/leftyguitar/posts/1215544221798473

cdbaby: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/faunch (order a real, authentic polycarbonate CD!)

Other places you can find the record:

Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/artist/2pUA7M416VlC6xAqDteaye

Our story:

In 1978, A yank and an Englishman met in a smoky college dorm room at the University of Warwick in Coventry, UK and have been playing together in bands and on recordings ever since.  In 2013, Andy Faunch, the English guy in this pair of ne'er do wells, sent me, Michael McClure, the American kid (ha!... once upon a time maybe...), early mixes of songs that would eventually find their way onto this record of his, venice & beethoven.  The songs kept coming and I told him that they were simply the best songs he’s ever written, and we had to make a record!  And this came true: three summers later, we now have the finished album done, out, and available to you now in a plethora of forms.  We would appreciate your ears and words.

And that's it:

If I have done anything wrong or incomplete here, just let me know.  This is my first post, and hopefully I have given you all that you need to get some kind of ball rolling...

Cheers, and thanks for your time and attention.

Best,

-shud / Michael McClure, co-producer - venice & beethoven by faunch

Hi folks -- I was just wondering how this is supposed to work from this point.  I posted up a couple of weeks ago now.  Do I take the lack of response as general disinterest, or is there some kind of backlog, or something else I must do?  I'm speaking as a newb here -- I just may not fully understand how the site functions.

Thanks for any explanation anyone might proffer.

Hi folks... been a while.

I thought maybe I'd take a moment now to post up a couple of reviews that venice & beethoven has received in the media since I made my original post here last September, to see if that might pique some interest in it now among you forum readers and reviewers.

These reviews are also available on the faunch site on the RE/viewed page

Music Connection, June 2017

Thanks very much.

Looks like this was missed at the time, sorry Michael. I have added it to the Crossover chart and will know cogitate and vote accordingly. I'll contact you directly for further information if you get approved. Again, apologies for the miss...

Thanks, Kev. It's nice to hear something from someone in here. I was just trying to be patient. ;)

Let me know if you need anything to move this forward. I'm not sure what's involved with the cogitation, or any of that, but I'll just be here if anyone needs to ask me a question. Thanks.
