I'm no judge of what is or isn't Prog Metal or Heavy Prog as far as PA is concerned, but I just enjoyed the Hell out of this 4-track, 40-minute EP, and I'm sure a lot of other folks on here will too, so no apologies for posting this.

"Farwatch, from Northwest Indiana, was formed in the summer of 2013 by guitarist Martin Bowman and bass player Alex Barrios (Chucho) with a shared interest in creating progressive and challenging music. Drummer Paul Uhrina and vocalist Mary Flowe were recruited shortly afterwards and the band set to work on writing and recording. Various keyboardists came and went, and the lineup was finally rounded out permanently in the summer of 2015 by Daniel Geurs as the sessions for the band’s EP “Transmigrated” were beginning. Uhrina parted ways with the group in early 2016 and James Hamilton was added to take his place behind the kit shortly after."

The band is currently promoting the newly released EP and working on new material.

The current EP consists of four quite lengthy tracks, giving us a shade over 40 minutes of excellent music.

1. Library Of Empyreus (11:58)
2. Water Turns The Wheel (7:07)
3. Viridian Pearl (8:42)
4. Behold The New (12:33)

Total Time 40:20

Line-up:
- Mary Flowe / lead and backing vocals
- Martin Bowman / guitars, backing vocals, additional keyboards
- Daniel Geurs / keyboards
- Alex "Chucho" Barrios / bass, backing vocals
- Paul Uhrina / drums and percussion (later replaced by James Hamilton)

Listen to it on bandcamp: https://farwatch.bandcamp.com/.

Very well performed, melodic, Prog Metal/Heavy Prog hybrid to my ears...superb female vocals, and one of the best new releases I've heard for quite a while. Whether they find a place on here I'm not so sure though - female fronted acts sometimes seem to have a bit of hard time getting through the gate, but they're already on progfreak thanks to our old pal Svetonio, so I guess it's over to you guys: http://progfreak.com/Farwatch-167782.html.  Tongue
