Moore was the first 007 I ever saw (Moonraker) when I was 10 years old. Didn't see the Connery movies until many years later. RIP.

"The Persuaders", a TV-series starring Roger Moore and Tony Curtis, was a big hit in Germany (German title "Die Zwei", "The Two") in the 70s due to the extremely funny synchronisation. R.I.P.

A very clever, funny and self decrepating man; his 'Englishness', wit and (almost) self parody brought something special to the role as 007.. i think each actor who has held the role has brought his own special 'something' but Roger was an absolute starStar RIP
