After Forest is a progressive metal band that combines influences from modern metal, grunge and 70's prog. We released our first full-length album in May 2018. https://www.facebook.com/afterforest/ https://open.spotify.com/artist/4q35KdlcaswHEcqDUHEBF1?si=mHTdE8mSQSqtmv2BiuUS3g afterforest.bandcamp.com soundcloud.com/afterforest BIO: After Forest was formed in 2007 in Vaasa, Finland, but the line-up has changed regularly during the years. The first EP "Insignificant EP" was recorded by singer/ guitar player Jukka Karppi and drummer Juha Tujunen, and it was released in 2012. The EP was relatively straightforward metal, but also showed some proggier side of the band, on songs like "Able to see" and "Days like these...". 'Act I', the first part of the band's self-titled concept album was released in 2015, and the reception was fairly good, yet it did not achieve any major popularity. The sequel for the Act I was planned to be released during the same year, but sudden death of Juha Tujunen made the band choose to move the recording process to the future. The new line-up's first release, single "The sun turned cold" was released in 2016, and right after it's release, the band started to work with the "Act II & III". The album was recorded in between February and October in 2017, and it was released in May 2018. Current line-up: Jukka Karppi - Guitar/ Vocals Jesse Ikola - Guitar / Additional vocals Joel Kujanpää - Drums Carl-Axel Åman - Keyboards Juuso Heinonen - Bass Discography: Insignificant ep -EP (2012) Act I - EP (2015) The Sun Turned Cold - Single (2016) Act II & III - Album (2018) The "Act II & III" is a concept album about how would human react to it's own actions such as to usage of oil and plastic if they were used by some animal instead of human? Oh, sorry. Pasi Isomäki played the bass, too! Pasi played the bass on tracks "No graves" and "The new day" And Jukka played the rest of the album.
