I find myself wishing this song was longer every time I listen to Heldon’s album Stand By. I like its mix of sequencers, live drums, zeuhl-ish angularity and melody.

The song’s composer, Patrick Gauthier, went on to essentially remix the track on his first solo album, Bebe Godzilla. The rest of the material on that album, while good, isn’t really what I’m looking for. Some of Richard Pinhas’ solo albums are also stylistically similar, but I’m wondering if there’s anything else out there that’s in similar territory?

Yes that Heldon track is quite unique on its own, have you tried other Heldon albums? There's a lot in the same direction of electronics and live drums.

You can try Ose which only released one album, Richard Pinhas is also participating on that one, but it doesn't have live drums if I remember correctly.
There's also Lard Free which also mix electronics and live drums quite like Heldon but still different.

This album is cool. Has Vander, Paganotti, Blasquiz. Here’s a fun track

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.
