Voice Among The Many is a Progressive Rock / Metal Band from Melbourne, Australia
The band has recently released their debut album "Collide".

Unfortunately, I can't find much info on this band but worth checking out for all Voyager fans.

Album and samples at https://voiceamongthemany.bandcamp.com/releases

Will dig a bit deeper for more info :)

If you can find more information on the band, that would be helpful.  If not, let me know.  I know some bands are nearly impossible to find out any information on.  If there is any way to contact them, you could try that.

The best guy to contact for a proper bio would be vocalist/guitarist Mark Anthony Tronson, who initially began his musical journey with a covers band called Whitewash. He was also involved in a band called 'Remains of a Day', a six piece metal band based in Auckland NZ that he helped set up in early 2004. Along with two other former members (guitarist Ozz and drummer Ryan Carroll), with a change of direction and the addition of a new bass player (Billy Todman), they officially became a four-piece progressive rock-group called 'Frozen Alice' in April 2009.

Frozen Alice played several shows across NZ and Australia and recorded their debut album 'The Torino Scale' with Zorran Mendonsa (who also produces the current 'Voice Among The Many' album) at The Green Room, Auckland. This album was released in September 2010, and can be freely downloaded in high quality m4a format from archive.org.

When the project finally folded, Billy Todman joined an instrumental prog metal band called 'Love Of Chaos', with Corey (or Corez) Friedlander (drums) and Tim Gainsford (guitar), and Mark Tronson released a pretty decent solo album called 'Passers By' in May of 2014, which again featured Ryan Carroll on drums, and with bass and additional guitars by Zorran Mendonsa, who also engineered and mixed the album, and and that one can be heard on YouTube.

After the tracks for his solo album had been recorded, Mark Tronson relocated to Melbourne, Victoria in February 2013, and after the album was finally finished and released in 2014 he began working with a Melbourne based hard rock/alternative metal band called 'Figures' in September of that year. Figures plays a djenty style of alternative metal rather than prog. Along with his brother Michael on guitar, Mark also formed a band called 'No Transitory' in 2014, and released an EP called 'Collide' on bandcamp in 2015, and this was basically the same 'Collide' album that the brothers have now released as 'Voice Among The Many'. A review of the original album by Progarchives member Gallifrey can be read on rateyourmusic, but the album is no longer available on bandcamp in its original incarnation.

After a couple of EPs in 2016 and 2017, Mark's other current band 'Figures' released their debut full length album 'Operating In Unsafe Mode' in July of last year.

I know all those names and most of the bands. If this band is a continuations of No Transitory, they should be considered a NZ band, rather than Australian, if it makes it into PA. Making their music in Australia is what many NZ bands (need to) do. It doesn’t make them Australian bands. (If that were the case, bands like Split Enz and Dragon, both in PA, would be listed as Australian, not NZ.) Corey Friedlander has been a member of many important and influential Kiwi bands. I have the No Transitory release.

'Voice Among The Many' and 'No Transitory' certainly seem to involve the same personnel from what I could find out last night, and both 'Collide' EPs consist of the same five songs. What I don't know is whether they have been remixed or remastered for this reissue of the 'Collide' EP as 'Voice Among The Many', and why there has not been any info provided thus far regarding the previous history of the band.

The music.net.nz interview link given by Nick above contains another link to the Empire Media Group's 'Stories In Sound' interview with Michael Tronson of No Transitory, conducted in March 2016, and which is also on YouTube, and there is a guitar playthrough of the track 'Storytime' at the end of the interview, which confirms that it's certainly the same song as the one which opens the current 'Voice Among The Many' EP.

I don't have the full No Transitory release myself, and all the previously available streams of that version of the EP (bandcamp, spotify, soundcloud etc) have fairly recently been pulled in readiness for its reissue under the new band name of 'Voice Among The Many'. The No Transitory version of the EP was still available on bandcamp on March 27th 2021, and Google's cache of the page is still viewable as I write:

And yes, the origins of the band are certainly Auckland NZ rather than Melbourne AU. As far as I know, it was only vocalist Mark Tronson who moved to Australia in 2013.
