Bio.

"Formed in 1998 in the vibrant neighborhood of New Farm, Brisbane, Australia, Rolf Zero emerged as an amateur instrumental garage band comprising of Cris Van Anderson on guitars and keyboards, Cecu Pauta on drums and Dani Leero on bass.

Their early days were filled with jam sessions and experimentation, as they tinkered with their gear in a self-made studio.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of classic rock Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Creedence Clearwater Revival, they delved into the realm of hard rock classics, honing their skills and cultivating their sound.

It wasn't until 2005 that Rolf Zero took a decisive leap forward, venturing into the realm of original composition.

They found themselves captivated by the progressive rock sounds of the '70s, finding inspiration in the works of bands such as Camel, PFM, Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull.

Embarking on their first project, they crafted a medieval tale centered around a powerful and affluent king who chose to forsake his riches and live as a humble beggar.

Writing and recording several tracks, they laid the foundation for their musical journey.

Over the next few years, Rolf Zero continued to compose and record, with a series of tracks taking shape and two full albums ready for the mixing and mastering stage by 2010.

However, the band mostly indulged their creative impulses within the confines of private jam sessions.

While Dani Leero occasionally ventured out to perform live gigs with other bands in the Brisbane area, Rolf Zero remained a well-kept secret, hidden from the public eye.

With the unexpected arrival of the Covid-19 lockdown, Rolf Zero found themselves with ample time to reflect on their musical archives.

Determined to share their work with the world, they seized the opportunity to release their material on streaming platforms.

The debut album, aptly titled "Rolf Zero", emerged from the depths of their early years.

Mixing together various low-quality files and some mp3 recordings, they sought to preserve the original sound and the charmingly naive style that defined their formative phase.

Unconcerned with perfect tuning and synchronized tracks, the album encapsulated their early essence.

Following this retrospective release, Rolf Zero turned their attention to their second album, "Tsunami."

Initially written in 2007, the band decided to remix and remaster it in 2022, offering a fresh take on their earlier creation.

Certain sections were re-recorded, breathing new life into the tracks. In 2023, "Tsunami" was remastered and re-release.

Another project, "Satanika," which had been penned in 2010, underwent a similar transformation.

Mixing and mastering took place in 2022, resulting in a renewed version of the album.

The revamped "Satanika" arrived in 2023, showcasing the band's growth and development over the years.

Building upon this resurgence, Rolf Zero set their sights on creating fresh material. Recently composed and recorded, their new albums present a range of musical journeys.

"Peenah Duture's Cosmic Voyage" stands as their sole work to feature vocals, with Eva Lim lending her voice to their cosmic exploration on a slightly folk accent.

"Rex Migius", a return to medieval atmospheres, features the violin of Thisara Bandara.

Finally, their latest endeavor, "Paxillus", an instrumental progressive opus, offers a sonic odyssey delving into the theme of the world's end.

Once again, Thisara Bandara's violin skills lend an ethereal touch to the compositions.

While Rolf Zero is still a studio project of amateur musicians and has yet to grace the stage with a live performance, they have exciting plans for the future and a live album is on the cards.

The self-titled debut album "Rolf Zero" is also due to be released on CD."

Despite this little-known being comprised of amateur musicians, I believe they deserve a place on PA. Personally, I found immense pleasure in their music, with a special fondness for their latest albums "Rex Migius" and "Paxillus".

It's worth noting that the band operates without a dedicated website or social media presence, relying solely on YouTube to connect with their fans.

	Of course you can. I wrote the bio based on infos given to me. The only way to contact the band that I know is via youtube, they have an email. I also have a photo but I don't know how to post it.
