I'm not nerdy and dip in and out of prog but there was a band on recently at a festival in Manchester that I'd never heard of but were outstanding. How are Are God Is An Astronut regarded?

I fell in love with their 2008 album, All Is Violent, All Is Bright when I first joined PA but have not had the same reaction to any of their other albums. I really liked their unusual-for-Post-Rock use of keyboards and their novel way of layering/imbedding (wordless) vocal tracks into their music.

Let me know if any of their studio albums blow you away so I can give them another chance.

Agreed...All is Violent, All is Bright is tops on my list from their catalogue. I use the song "Forever Lost" (off AIVAIB) as an example to others of what a great post-rock composition sounds like. Their music is much more accessible to the average ear than other bands on Progarchives' post-rock list (Swans come to mind).
