The first whoppin' 3 seconds of Time for You (from In Darkest Dreams) by the Tangent is just unaccompanied Hammond organ!
EDIT: Here's a better example. The intro to Puentes Destruidos pt 3 by Parthenon is just synths and Hammond organ with no other instrumentation, and it lasts ~20 seconds. Edited by Hrychu - January 01 2024 at 17:17 |

suprisingly hard to think of anything, prog keyboard players tended to use the piano for unaccompanied stuff but synths and organ inevitably went along with a band. If pipe organ is allowed then ELP - Three Fates (first part) and Rick Wakeman - Jane Seymour (includes synths as well) fit the bill.

I'm looking for pieces along the lines of the track Acquiring the Taste on the album of the same name by Gentle Giant.
It doesn't need to fit much criteria, I'm just interested in seeing how different keyboard composers can be creative by making a piece unaccompanied by other instruments. |
