New live release from avantprog/symphoprog band Roz Vitalis! "Semi-acoustic at Kuryokhin Center" is a recording of a concert by Roz Vitalis in February 2023 at the Kuryokhin Center in St. Petersburg. The acoustic characteristics of this hall did not allow performing with a full–fledged drum kit – drummer Yury Khomonenko uses only a cajon and a cymbal - but keyboardist Ivan Rozmainsky, in addition to synthesizers, managed to use the upright piano in it. Vladimir Semenov-Tyan-Shansky played guitar, and together with AndRey Stefinoff on clarinet and Max Lokosov on bass guitar, all these musicians tried to convey the beauty and "striving for the transcendent" of Roz Vitalis music in a fresh and attractive way. The repertoire of 12 tracks was based on 9 compositions from the "classic" albums of the band of the tenth years – "Patience of Hope" (2012), "Lavoro d'Amore" (2015) and "The Hidden Man of the Heart" (2018). They are complemented by a work written already in the twenties, “Recovery”, which is included in one of the previous live albums, but does not yet have a studio incarnation, and two purely piano pieces performed for the first time. Thus, this release is “Essential Roz Vitalis” in a delicate, warm and almost gentle semi-acoustic presentation… Spotify YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWuxynPdLKY&t=917s Bandcamp http://artbeatmusic.bandcamp.com/album/semi-acoustic-at-kuryokhin-center Progarchives http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=84570Tracklist Songs / Tracks Listing Lineup Yury Khomonenko – percussion Max Lokosov – bass Ivan Rozmainsky – upright piano and synths Vladimir Semenov-Tyan-Shansky – guitar
