"The Crazy World of Arthur Brown" would be absolutely hilarious if it wasn't for his crazy shouts, he mixed quality with humour and terror.
Iván
PD: The art cover of Love Beach is hilarious, seems like ELP playing Calypso or propaganda for a Love Boat episode.

"hilarous" is not the right term here, I would say "pathetic".

Only a guy would say that... cause besides it looking like a BeeGees cover... those boys looked damn good. Greggie looks good enough to lick..
Sorry, couldn't help myself... here's another cover choice that was rejected...

The Love Boat soon will be making another run. The Love Boat promises something for everyone. Set a course for adventure, Your mind on a new romance.
It's Looooove! Welcome aboard - It's Looooove!
Iván
PD: This cover was simbolic, before they released the album they were with the water up to their knees (Except Keith who is soinking faster), after a few days they were with the water up to their throughts.

Now, like all good real-life experience story, so begin this; Once a poly tie-toe. Happiness Stan, whose life 'n evolve the ephemeral dreamy most had a deep joy - all time, some time deep joy of a full moon scintillating dangly in the heavenly bode; But now only half. "Oh blow your cool, man!", he dood this deep thoughkus. What is the folly of this half-disappearing of the moony most?
(done entirely from memory - I've probably missed a whole load, like the "His home was a Victoriana charabold - this is a four-wheel fallollop f't't't out the back grove" bit...).
...the point is, what a great (and funny!) album

You want hilarious? Zappa's Sheik Yerbouti! Always a great gut-bustin' hour! It never gets old, and the music's awesome.

You're right.. and Greg looks like he'd be in pain if anyone touched him. Thats one heck of a sun burn... To much hanging on the beach with his shirt open for pictures I guess.

I think the most hilarious album is bound to be made by Zappa, the Master of Hilariousness himself. Name one album of his that is NOT swollen with humour!

Epic.

I enjoyed the vocal stylings of Professor Stanley Unwin (think that was his name) on ONGF, and Zappa was so clever in so many ways - But for me the most hilarious album (and film) was... Tap. They had a proggy phase - listen to Stonehenge! Rock and Roll Creation! Their music progresssed throughout their career (Checkout the differences between Shark Sandwich and Intravenous DeMilo)
Always make me laugh, clever bastards.

i agree ogdens nut gone flake is a cockney classic. i think the funniest prog albums i guess would be "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" as some of the sounds and lyrics make you laugh. good old syd. Especially "Bike" and "Pow R Toc H".
i went to the ronnie lane memorial concert. small faces are brilliant. led zeppelin piltchered "whole lotta love" from their song "You need loving". same lyrics and similar vocals.

I would say Frank Zappa - Studio Tan
Is Captain Beefheart - Trout mask replica prog music? If so, count it in!
