I've been completely obsessed with This Godless Endeavor lately.  It is proggier than some stuff already on the site, but as far as I'm concerned that's no reason to add them.

I have not heard many songs by Nevermore, but they are probably proggier than Nightwish and they are surely better.

I love Nevermore, they kick ass.I just saw them open up for Opeth recently and was very impressed. And I agree with you on This Godless Endeavor,but......

I think they might be a little more metal than prog metal though.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on whether or not this is a prog band or not.  I was somewhat swayed by their album This Godless Endeavor, and I think that album at least is deserving of mention of this site, especially the title track.  It's very epic in nature, uses some very interesting progressions, has some really sweet diminished triad stuff, etc... and the opening is a clear nod towards Supper's Ready.  These guys are incredible musicians, and I think the fact that they played on the same stage as Dream Theater says something.  They might be more metal, but I'm not sure.  Your thoughts?
How awesome. A place where I can talk about progressive rock and not hear "IS THIS ONE OF YOUR 50 HOUR LONG SONGS?!?!" I salute you. :D
