Knows that when a (good) sub is well setted, low will not dribble or be too strong and the whole result (with the speakers) will be perfectly equilibrated, and you must even not hear the sub. (you hear it miss when you turn it off).
A 56 cm sub goes even further, but it's not necessary for most systems.
Another option to go further can be to put two, three or four identical subs instead of one. Doing like this, each sub works less, so better.
But really, no one here needs to do that.
You have so much to do to get a good musical system before...
