hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, where should I start.

I used to listen to modern rock radio. Naturaly, after a while, I became very bored with this. I began listening to jazz, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk etc. This was so much more rewarding than modern rock that I had pretty much given up hope on rock music. Then, one day while reading a review of a Miles Davis album, I came across the name "The Mars Volta" being compared with Miles. I looked this band up, and liked what I saw. "Free jazz improv, cool! 15 minuet songs, wow! Sci Fi lyrics, great! I went out and bought "De-Loused in the Comatorium", and fell in love. I began listening to prog rock stations on yahoo, and was introduced to the likes of Genesis, Pink Floyd, Dream Theather, Yes et al. I had found something that I'd never thought existed. My joy was completed when, while listening to internet radio, some strange song came on, called "The Sheltering Sky". I sat there for the duration of the song, unable to do anything but listen. Who had created such music?! King Crimson, hmm, funny name, I'll have to look into them. They are now my favourite band.

My favourite bands are (no particular order):

King Crimson, Genesis, The Mars Volta, Frank Zappa, Peter Gabriel, Rush, Weather Report, a lot of others.

So I guess that's about it.

Welcome to the site. Enjoy.
Lyrics of the week
Cast out a spell rendered for the light of day
Lost in lights array
I ventured to see,as the sound began to play
