I´m from Germany and I´ve been a prog-Rock fan since my early teens. I guess (can´t remember correctly) my first prog-rock-album was "The lamb lies down ..." or maybe "Snowgoose" from CAMEL followed by "Tales from Topographic Oceans". Nektar´s "Remember the future" also was on my shelf at that time.. Later I fell in love with KANSAS`albums (left overture and stuff). Listened mainly to the well-known great big bands of the 70´s. 
Now I´m returning to prog (after a long-year hiatus) cause I got the chance to listen to (swedish) MOON SAFARI`s debut album (did anybody hear about MOONSAFARI?) and it blew me away. Some days later I grabbed (New York´s) IZZ´s new album "My river flows" and it has some really fine tunes too.
So suddenly I´m back into prog-rock (indeed I´ve never been away since I always listened to my old Genesis,Yes, Kansas, Camel etc.Lp´s)
So I´ve been just  striving for some information and landed here in prog-land. Seems that this is a friendly country ...
Normally I use to listen to Roots-Rock/Country and Singer-Songwriter-stuff and 70´s Hard-Rock now and then but prog is a nice alternative, really !
