it's not a competition... sure there are people here whose prog collections and knowledge are....staggering hahahhah .. but to compete.. nah... take the opportunity to listen to different stuff and learn... I know I have, and have become a more well rounded prog fan for it..

Get a lot of albums, and listen to a lot of prog sub-genres. 

Have an open mind and listen to genres and bands you would usually would never listen to. 

For instance, im not a metal head, but bought Devin Townsend's Synchestra  and love it.

Prog is about the music - if it moves you & you like it, listen often.
