Topic: Prog Bands That Should Be Shot Posted: March 21 2006 at 19:07 |
You know those really annoying prog bands? The ones that just....suck? Well, list them here! My vote is: post-Gabriel Genesis, or post-Brain Salad Surgery ELP.

80's Jethro Tull. Crest of a Knave is overrated, not to mention Under Wraps, etc, etc...

I would be willing to say that post-Roger Waters, pre-Division Bell Pink Floyd should be beaten a few times, because I hated A Momentary Lapse of Reason.

tisk tisk.. for shame...
Genesis gets delay for two more albums while the supreme court reviews
the case.... in the end... given stiff sentence of preforming public
(prog) service... torturing the masses through the 80's with Phil
Collins ballads and cringeworthy pop music ...
ELP gets a reprieve... and gets put into witness protection... what
would prog be without stories of their 1977 tour...... people might
actually discount the stories of prog being overblown, and pretentious.
Besides... I like the two Works albums... as good as the earlier?...
hell no.... bad albums?... hell no.

Sorry-I was wrong, to insult proggers, we all are one big family in the end. Most Indie bands, with the exception of the velvet underground, I do hate!

A much shorter, more managable list would be "prog bands who shouldn't be shot."
Aw, what the hell -- mow 'em all down, the pretentious w*nkers!
