I've fortunate enough to get some inside info on Allan Holdsworth's next album, Against The Clock : The Best Of Allan Holdsworth, with the track listings of this double: Disc One (The Guitar) 1. Tokyo Dreams(Japanese Version) 2. Sphere Of Influence 3. Rukukha 4. Low Levels High Stakes 5. How Deep Is The Ocean 6. Nuages 7. Devil Take The Hindmost 8. Home 9. Peril Premonition 10. The 16 Men Of Tain 11. Mr Berwell 12. Looking Glass 13. Pud Wud
Disc 2 (Synthaxe) 1. Spokes 2. Distance v Desire 3. Mac Man 4. Against The Clock 5. Eeny Meeny 6. Secrets 7. Bo Beep 8. Postlude 9. Non-brewed Condiment 10. All Our Yesterdays 11. Eidolon 12. Sundays 13. Flotsam 14. Jetsom
There are a number of tracks which haven't seen the light of day before. Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, Joe Satriani and Eddie Van Halen are all quoted in the liner notes, with regard to Holdsworth prowess as one of the world's major guitarists.

I haven't heard any of holdsworth's synthaxe stuff, but I'm an avid fan of the 'ol Gee-tar stuff of his.
I'm going to buy this set. Holdsworth is my favorite guitarist. |

Check www.realallanholdsworth.com . He's playing some European dates as well. I'm still waiting for him to play northern California.
