Zabriskie Point is a soundtrack album. It contains some fine Floyd work aswell as tunes by the Youngbloods, Grateful Dead and Kaleidioscope among others.Good stuff for the completist Floydie.

The title of the double CD is "The Complete Zabriskie Point Sessions" and is different from the original soundtrack. It's even listed in their discography on this site. I gather they wouldn't list a bootleg?

I have the double CD - the first is the movie soundtrack, and the second contains outtakes, previously unissued. It's not a bootleg, but there isn't anything special here, only competionists of Floyd should get this one.

Well, I like Country song and The Violence sequence is ESSENTIAL for Floyd fans. This is nothing more than the main theme of Us and them, written by Richard wright back in 1969 and not used in the movie.

It's definitely great, but only after hearing the progressions from track to track.

You can hear each song evolve; there's 2 or 3 versions of each one.

In fact, that album is a bootleg.
Only Zabriskie Point album is official, but not a Pink Floyd album.
The Complete Zabriskie Point Sessions is a great album, Zabriskie Point Session contains other outtakes for that album.

I thought i was the only won who likes the Zabriskie Point sessions.  This a good release.  "The Red Queen (Country Song)" is one of my favorite pink floyd songs

Wait, are you saying there is a second Zabriskie Point Session album different from the complete ZPS album?

I downloaded a 2CD compilation of the ZP outtakes and I love it, it's almost like a prototype of ambient music to my ears.  I go to sleep to that set all the time, it's beautiful.

So, is there something new than "Zabraskie point" soundtrack ?

Concerning Zabraskie PF pieces, there are excellent, especially the space rock gem "Unknown song" which is another cover (with excellent sound) of a "Narrow way" part, if i remember well;
"Crumbling land" is a good psyche tune in the style of the second album.
"Come in number 51, your time is up" is an excellent studio cover of "Careful..." and "Love song" is a nice mediative quiet piano piece by Rick Wright.
