Doug from South Wales here,
Been a Prog fan for 30+ years, and I am very glad to see a revival in the genre!

For the record, my favourite bands are;

Talking Heads (given their innovative music and involvement with ENO, I class them as Prog - what do you think?)
King Crimson
Gentle Giant
Caravan
Porcupine Tree
Genesis (with Gabriel)
Pink Floyd
Procol Harum
Mostly Autumn
Spock's Beard
Kansas
Yes
UK
Barclay James Harvest
Zappa
Family
Rush
Elbow
Magenta
Jethro Tull
........and many, many more

Non-prog bands -
 REM
Crowded House
Garbage
Blur
Pulp
The Kinks
Neil Young
Al Stewart
10cc
Muse
George Harrison
.......and many many more

There's a dearth of good bands visiting South Wales at the moment - why is that?Confused

Yep! But then again I like all Heads & Crimson music, not just the Belew years.
...wel maybe the Boz albums with Crimson are a bit naff!
I first heard Belew as part of Zappa's band, so I was really glad he joined Crimson.
BTW I've got the Talking Heads box set, and Belew is not mentioned on any of the credits, even though he was on two albums!

I'm a big fan of every KC era too. I can call them my favorite band I guess.

Shame on the Talking Heads for omitting to mention Belew in their boxset Ouch

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Welcome and well met.
