I heartily applaud PA for the addition of Agalloch, Death, Textures and Enslaved recently. Now I think it is time to add Nevermore. Whether they're progressive,to me, is of little question, especially along side some of the bands I've mentioned. Any views? Pro or con.

I believe they are quite progressive, every album has more prog moments than not. IMHO they are one of the more important bands in prog metal now with so many other bands either becoming stale, Dream Theater, or constantly searching for a musical identity, Dream Theater(AGAIN!). "This Godless Endeavor" was my pick for 2005 Best Album and solidified their place as one of the best prog bands that hardly anyone calls prog. A lot of people come to PA searching for new bands and most prog metal fans who don't know Nevermore are in for a treatClap

Of course its the biggest question. That will make or break its addition. If you think they arent prog, then why include them here?

I see. Well, Nevermore is no doubt a great metal band, but as i hear it, they play a straight forward heavy metal with power metal tendencies. of course thats just me friend...Big smile

That's cool. Constructive argument is good. My opinion is hardly the be all end all. I just wanted to see if anyone else thought they belong on PA.

Hi there,

Nevermore has been discussed by the prog-metal specialists team and are cleared to be added as prog-related.

If you have information for the to-be-written biography or a list of album details, please contact me through PM
