This function does not seem to be working properly.

I just added Oceansize's "Heaven alive" single and submitted a review immediately afterwards. Now I thought that because at the top of every review it says
" Review by Tristan Mulders (Tristan)
Special Collaborator Prog-Metal Specialist

that this text replaces the neat - First review of this album - tag, because it never is visible with my first reviews for albums. But now i'm taking a look at the frontpage of the website and there it DOES say - first review of this album -

weird Wacko Can this be helped? Thus that this little title is added to all your reviews which are album's first?

The "first review of this album " notation only appears on the home page, not on the album pages.
 
There is a known bug which M@X is looking at, where the notation does not appear if there is already a rating without review.

hm.. may I ask what the point is in having this notation then? I mean when someone else posts a review it's gone from the frontpage and no one notices you're the first to have written a review...

(forgive me if I someone seem a bit 'direct', that's not intended towards you Bob Tongue)

It is just intended as a mild incentive to seek out unreviewed albums and be the first to review them. To make the coding for identifying such reviews more intelligent would probably have an adverse effect on the performance of the site's server.
 
At present on the album pages, the reviews appear in the order they were posted, so it is apparent there who was the first to review that album.
 
Be as direct as you like by the way Tristan!Wink
