Ah, but that is a typo in a post on a forum; it's not important. When the person proofing it wrote it, it is very easy for the eyes to play tricks on you. Simple typos like mine on a forum don't bother me, but this is an album! And not even a first pressing LP, but the version that will remain in print for a long time. Also, they have the benefit of Spellcheck :) I know I could download IeSpell, but I'm too lazy :) |
I agree that an album cover or anything published is the place for spot on proof reading. I gotta tell you though that seeing these things really doesn't anger me. Rather, they usually make me chuckle. I think it's funny that a pro missed what I caught...
on a related note it does anger me very very much when overzealous proofers CHANGE things on purpose because they think they are better than the artist. God I HATE that. In example I give Rushs album Fly By Night, on which the early compact disk reissues had "At The Tobes Of Hades" changed to "At The Tombs Of Hades". THAT really pisses me off. The gall of those damn arrogant grammatical regents!!
