Different types of actions for keyboards adjusting

Anyone have trouble going from say a grand piano to a thin-key light wight keyboard?  I am great on heavy keys and then i get on my friends crappy yamaha cheap keyboard with thin keys and i am hitting notes that i dont want to hit and i cant really move fast because im out of beat.

Anyone else have trouble with this, do you just stikc to one action or?
