Topic: Pink Floyd CD questions Posted: December 12 2004 at 17:49 |
I have a couple of Floyd CD questions that I hope someone can answer.
1. I have a special edition of Piper that came in a box with loose pictures and a textured cover (sort of like currogated cardboard). This CD is the monophonic version of the album. I would like to know if the regular, currently available, CD of Piper is in stereo. I prefer my stereo vinyl mix. I'd like to have it on CD.
2. I recently bought the CD version of Ummagumma. The sticker on the wrapper promised lyrics for all the songs, yet there are none in the booklet for The Narrow Way. Were they included in other versions of this CD? Was it a printing error? Does anyone else think that this CD should sound much better than it does?
Thanks,
Steve

Apparently, Dave was a little embarressed on the first lyrics he'd ever written. Thats why they weren't on the LP(i think, its not confirmed.), I don't know why they werent on the CD.

"Mister Fripp, your music is quite different than everything else out there. In one word, how would you describe it?" "Progressive.... yeah, that's it..."

it's ok man i got both packages that you got exactly i think they are great . for piper being a mono-realesd version , i think that's nice cos on the stereo-version ( i got also ) some songs like interstellar sound bad ! for ummagumma somrtimes you don't need the lyrics !

It's like to see that Dave, as much as his solos might scream "I AM A NARCISSIST", has a little modesty.
I like modest people. Men.
Roger -- is it me, or does he look like he fell in the deep frier?
I have neither album, so sorry ...
