Well, you both know what I think of Gary Moore... I recently bought his 1984 live album "We Want Moore" (which I already knew very well), and it's quite mindblowing, featuring Ian Paice on drums to boot.
As to that DVD, of course I've read glowing reviews, and it wouldn't be a bad idea at all to get it. I saw Lizzy's last performance at Reading Festival in 1983, and they smoked everyone else there (especially the Gillan-led Black Sabbath... though Steve Ray Vaughan (RIP
) sure enough held his own. Pity for the extremely tasteless idea of resurrecting the band without Lynott (that's just like Queen without Freddie or The Doors without Jim
) - John Sykes may be a great guitarist, but he sure is a heartless, money-grabbing b*****d (nice hair, though).
