I just see this impressive movie performance from 1979 featuring Mc Laughlin, Paco de Lucia and Larry Corryel.

They are all three great, Paco de Lucia seems to be the quicker, but Larry Corryel has the most cosmic sound.

Highly recommended!!!

I loved it when it was aired by in the early 80's >> nice to know it has been released on DVD

I actually like this much better than the trios including De Miola instead of Coryell. Coryell style is much
diferent than the other two (or three if you include Di Miola)>> he does not try to reach speed of light virtuosity as the others >> meaning this performance has muvh more soul than the other trio.

Exactly, my dear!

It's better than "SF night" and "Passion, grace and fire", and as you say, Larry Corryel is "better" than Al di meola cause he plays virtuose but with feeling and not demonstrative at all.

A wonder, unfortunatly never released on record.

Yes, and if they are all great, Coryell has the best sound and Paco de Lucia is the most virtuose.

For having seen John, Paco and Al in concert twice >> these guys are basically trying to blow each other off stage with their "tricks" >> which really was not the case with Coryell

And since this Coryell concert is much superior managing to calm the other two speedsters, I blame it all on Di Meola who provesme right on some of his album (Land Of the Midnight Sun amongst others) that this guy is all speed and no soul

Thanks Thumbs Up , good advise, I will look after it but concerning Al DiMeola, don't forget his distinctive guitar play like 'deaden the strings', this sounds very spectacular so I prefer his appearance above Larry Coryell. Nonetheless, I enjoy Larry his guitar work also very much!
