KOIAK!!

 

KOIAK is an excellent ensemble from Chile. They do a mixture of jazz-fusion and prog psychedelia, combining the sensual warmth of the former and the disturbing energy of the latter. With a great album out in the market since tha second half of 2005, the ytruly deserve a place in the Archives. Earning a place here should be a reward for a job weel done at preserving the drive for progressive-experimental-challenging music, not a boring, nerve-wrecking boureaucratic solicitation.

The band's site is www.koiak.cl There are 4 tracks saved in there: all jazz-rock/fusion specialist here, pay close attention. The sound samples are there, the information is there. It shouldn't take long, mostly because of the amazing music. We, as a ProgArchives community, should pay more regular attention to genuine creative band from outside GB and the USA andless attention to allegedly prog-related acts from teh aforementioned countries.
